Echoes Sneak Peek: Well-Weavers

A well-weaver is a Breathless magic user who can locate and identify objects by sensing their natural vibrational frequencies. Once a well-weaver activates this unique sense, they can “peer” through skin, to the flesh and bone beneath.  

Their primary role is thus keeping the Breathless population healthy. This can range from diagnosing internal issues such as infections or bone fractures, to conducting ultrasound-like checks on developing babies.

But exceptional well-weavers can go one step further. They can eradicate infections and destroy foreign bodies by emitting sound waves from the undersides of their fingers.

When these vibrations meet the target object (e.g., an urchin barb lodged in skin), the target vibrates more violently. If they apply that pressure for long enough, the target object breaks apart—like a singer shattering a wine glass.
